Walls That Create Usable Space
Retaining walls that cut a level patio out of a sloped yard, often with seating walls and a fire feature built into the same project.

Tigard shares a border with Beaverton, so our crews are minutes away. From the slopes of Bull Mountain to the established yards around Summerlake, we build the walls, patios and drainage that Tigard properties need, and we build them on a base that lasts.

The Tigard Standard
We build patios, retaining walls, drainage systems and full outdoor living spaces for Tigard homeowners, from hillside lots on Bull Mountain to Summerlake, Metzger and the neighborhoods along Fanno Creek. Plenty of Tigard backyards slope toward the house or toward the neighbors, and that changes how everything gets built.
So we start with what's underground: the grade, the soil and the path water takes after a storm. A retaining wall with no drainage behind it, or a patio built on loose fill, will move. A wall with a proper footing and drain rock, and a patio on a mechanically compacted base, won't.

5reasons
Most companies talk about design first. We talk about compaction first, because that's the part that decides whether a patio holds up for twenty years or sinks in two.
On Tigard's sloped lots, we build walls with a real footing, drain rock and drainage pipe behind them, so the wall holds the hill instead of leaning under it.
Drainage is planned for your yard's actual elevation, not a guess. On a slope, that's the difference between a dry patio and a wet one.
We're licensed for backflow testing and hold our own permits in Oregon (LCB #9957) and Washington (GCC #OLGUICL807RZ).
The team that designs your project is the team that builds it, from the base and drainage to the irrigation and lighting. Not a sub we handed it off to.
Typical Projects

Retaining walls that cut a level patio out of a sloped yard, often with seating walls and a fire feature built into the same project.

Drain lines, grading and dry creek beds that move runoff away from foundations and patios instead of letting it pool.
Design · Construct · Maintain
In Tigard, most of our work is retaining walls and grading on sloped lots, paver patios, drainage, and outdoor living spaces with fire features and lighting. Design, construct, maintain: that's the whole relationship, not just the install.

Yes. We're based in Beaverton, right next door, and work throughout Tigard, including Bull Mountain, Summerlake and Metzger. We also serve Portland, Hillsboro, Tualatin, Sherwood, Lake Oswego and SW Washington.
Yes. We're licensed for backflow testing in-house and hold our own permits in both Oregon and Washington, so nothing gets subbed out or delayed waiting on someone else's schedule.
Sometimes. Taller retaining walls, and walls holding back a slope, a driveway or a structure, generally need a permit from the City of Tigard, and drainage that ties into storm lines falls under Clean Water Services rules. We pull our own permits and check what your property needs during the estimate.
It depends on scope. A patio is a different timeline than a full retaining wall and drainage overhaul. We'll walk you through a realistic timeline during your design consultation.
Yes, we offer a 3D design consultation so you can see the layout before construction starts.
If your project touches drainage or storm lines, Clean Water Services is a good starting reference for Washington County, and we're a good next call.
