Outdoor Kitchens & Covered Living
Outdoor kitchens, covered patios and fire features designed as a true extension of the house, with lighting planned in from the start.

Lake Oswego properties tend to be steep, wooded and built to a high standard, and the landscape should match. We work in Lake Oswego regularly from our Beaverton base, building walls, patios, outdoor living spaces and lighting designed around the slope and the trees already on the lot.
The Lake Oswego Standard
We build retaining walls, patios, outdoor kitchens, fire features, lighting and full outdoor living spaces for Lake Oswego homeowners, from Westlake, Lake Grove and Palisades to Mountain Park and First Addition. Many of these lots are steep, shaded by mature trees and tight on access, so the plan has to account for all three.
Underneath the finish work, the approach is the same as every job: a properly compacted base, walls with real footings and drainage, and a plan for where the water goes on a hillside. That's what lets a high-end patio or outdoor kitchen still look the way it did on day one, years from now.

Hillside Walls · Root-Zone Care · Access Planning
Compacted Base · Planned Drainage · Built to Last
5reasons
Most companies talk about design first. We talk about compaction first, because that's the part that decides whether a patio holds up for twenty years or sinks in two.
We plan grading and excavation around the trees you want to keep, and flag early when a project may need a tree permit from the city.
On Lake Oswego slopes, walls are structural. We build them with proper footings, drain rock and pipe so they hold the hill and shed the water.
We're licensed for backflow testing and hold our own permits in Oregon (LCB #9957) and Washington (GCC #OLGUICL807RZ).
The team that designs your project is the team that builds it, from the base and drainage to the irrigation and lighting. Not a sub we handed it off to.

Uplighting, path and step lighting that makes a wooded, sloped lot safe to walk at night and shows off the trees and stonework.
Design · Construct · Maintain
In Lake Oswego, most of our work is retaining walls on sloped lots, high-end patios, outdoor kitchens and fire features, landscape lighting, and full design with a 3D consultation so you can see the space before it's built. Design, construct, maintain: that's the whole relationship, not just the install.

Yes. We're licensed for backflow testing in-house and hold our own permits in both Oregon and Washington, so nothing gets subbed out or delayed waiting on someone else's schedule.
It might. Lake Oswego regulates removing, and in some cases working around, trees on private property. If your project could affect a tree, we flag it during the estimate so permits are sorted out before any digging starts.
Usually, yes. Steep and tight lots are common in Lake Oswego. We plan equipment access, staging and wall drainage up front, and we'll tell you honestly during the estimate if a part of the plan isn't practical.
It depends on scope. A patio is a different timeline than a full retaining wall and drainage overhaul. We'll walk you through a realistic timeline during your design consultation.
Yes, we offer a 3D design consultation so you can see the layout before construction starts.
If your project involves trees or a taller wall, the City of Lake Oswego's official website is a good starting reference for local rules, and we're a good next call.
